Sometimes you go looking for waffles.
Sometimes waffles find you.
This particular specimen appeared at our Hilton hotel breakfast. No research, no detour, no grand expectations. Just a waffle that happened to cross our plate.
And unfortunately, it scored a rather uninspiring 4.5 out of 10.
Now, Joe raised a legitimate question: Should this even count?
After all, we’re on a quest to find the ultimate waffle, not systematically destroy every hotel breakfast buffet in America.
And so, a new category was born:
Waffles That Cross Our Plate.
These are the unexpected waffles. The hotel breakfasts, the roadside surprises, the ones we weren’t necessarily looking for but couldn’t resist trying.
They get a rating, but they don’t compete for the official OMFWaffle crown.
Final verdict: 4.5/10 butter pats.
Not every waffle deserves a detour. But every waffle that crosses our plate has a story.
